Nice shot! From where I live I can tell when rain's coming by looking out to the far promontory on my left. Rain that comes our way (almost) always sweeps in from that direction. If the rain bypasses it and goes across the channel I know Road Town won't get rain.
Interesting weather lesson. I'm on the west side of Lake Michigan so we never get to see the snow form, and when it does it usually it goes to the Michigan folks instead of us!

Interesting. Of course I've never seen such a thing. I've hardly ever seen snow!

So beautiful...I love shots of water and sky....so much drama!
Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
Amazing.
"Lake Effect" is a fact of life for me, too. Great shot!
Moody and atmospheric. Would make a great setting for a mystery novel.
That is a really cool picture. It looks like the god setting for a story :)
Ditto for the Lake Erie shore! Love your posts.
Fabulous shot.
We had snow here last week and I went for a collage of our snow day.

Beautiful, but slightly spooky!
Full of foreboding... I LOVE it.
And here in Las Vegas they mentioned this week that we had 1/100th of an inch of rain!!
Thanks for dropping by and visiting!
Beautiful shot...thanks for sharing.

My Saturday Snapshot
I always hear about lake effect snow and I was never sure what it was. What a great photo!!
Really neat shot! Looks so cold.
That's an amazing picture. My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/GVIbC
Looks familiar! I used to live on Lake Erie many years ago.
In Southwestern Ontario, we often get lake-effect snow storms, but I don not recall seeing it form on the lake. Good pic.
Great photo. The approaching storm looks really ominous.
I've never heard of lake effect snow before.
It looks very dramatic whatever it is!
That is so neat looking! I've never seen anything like it.
great shot, I love that you can see it hitting the ocean like that. Thanks for sharing, Book Savvy Babe
It has been a cool one hasn't it? Did I ever tell you I love your gold fish in your header.
Thanks, Irene, I have a soft spot for goldfish. I have them in a backyard pond in the summer and then in a couple of tanks in the house in the winter.
That's a pretty crazy shot, I've never seen anything like it before.
T'is that time of year....hope you have a cozy spot♫♪
Great photo. I haven't heard of lake effect snow before either.
