I've just started reading The Historian, and may I just say I'm hooked?! I read
Dracula a few months ago and have been on the lookout for other authentically creepy fare ever since. I love the history and the legends and geography to all of it. And really, this is the time of year for hunkering down under a comforter and reading late into the night.

Yay! Welcome to the readalong! It's such a great read that you'll totally be able to catch up, and enjoy the pictures on the readalong site as well!
I remember when I first read The Historian which was when it first came out five years ago -- I was super creeped out, and I was all by myself on a business trip. Needless to say, I was looking over my shoulder quite a bit. I'm going to need another book like this one after the readalong! :)
I'm so glad you could join and I look forward to following your site as well!!
I too am reading The Historian with the Read Along. It's fun and yes a bit creepy.
book chick - thanks! yes I'm admiring the pictures on the site as well, so cool. Let me know if you come up with a good follow up book. There are a couple I've had my eye on . . .
elisabeth - If I'd have known it would be this good I would have read it years ago. Funny that it took so long for me to find it. I like a good eerie mystery every once in a while.
I'm part of the read-a-long as well and I'm really enjoying all the pictures the hosts are posting - it adds so much to the story!
