I have to say I was torn about what to think of this one. I always enjoy the history lessons in these Robert Langdon stories, and the deciphering of ancient symbols, but I found the plot twists somewhat contrived and didn't really appreciate all the endless action/escape/chase sequences as they just slow the progress of the story. I've read all of his books now and don't remember them being quite as formulaic as this one. It could also just be me. I used to read all the Robin Cook books years ago, until I couldn't any more. I think I've hit the wall with Dan Brown now too.
