If I had the time to participate in the Dewey Read-a-Thon going on this very weekend, I'd pick these most excellent books. I'm almost finished Edward Rutherfurd's Paris. I could knock that out by lunch; Cormac McCarthy's Suttree is just because I'm in the mood for some Cormac McCarthy - it's been a while since I finished The Border Trilogy, so. And Dante's Inferno because DAN BROWN! Brain candy, I'm just saying. Dark and chewy brain candy.

You have just reminded me that I lent Rutherford's 'London' to someone and I haven't had it back yet! Like you, I don't have time to participate in the Readathon but it's a nice idea, isn't it?
Lovely list. I haven't read any of these. I've been reading more and more brain candy these days.
TIF - It's a wonderful idea and one of these time I will participate for sure! I have a copy of London and Sarum. They're wonderfully dense summertime reads, I think :)
