Saturday Snapshot - Bread

Fresh bread just out of the oven! I've finally got the hang of achieving a crunchy old-world crust. I'm also in the process of baking a chocolate cake for youngest's birthday. The house smells pretty good today, I must say.

Mmm, looks tasty! I had a friend who lived next door to a bakery, and her block always smelled amazing. I bet your house smells great!

Nothing like fresh bread. As we spend our winter south the only things I miss from our home in Toronto are kitchen appliances like my breadmaker along with my pantry of staples to bake when I like!!!
I have posted a lot of food related posts in the last week from Mexico

The warm fresh smell and taste of a newly baked bread
can launch a thousand delightful sensations. Doesn't have to wait for the chocolate cake.

I can almost touch a real bread with your photo.

Nice still life.

I'm jealous of your bread prowess. Mine never looks this good, but it's pretty tasty. My youngest had his birthday today too. But he wanted an ice cream cake. Here's Mine
