Reading Nook Love

Time again for some reading nook love . . .

Love the dreamy colouring of this one. It would be all about reading and napping here.

Probably not for long term reading, but more for quick reading breaks. Maybe for an hour after lunch or  while waiting for my ride to come up the driveway.

This! With pouffy cushions under a huge window right off the kitchen? Not much else would get done in a house like this, I'm just saying.

Oh I love these! I've always wanted a window seat full of pillows where I could sit and read, but I've never had one.

They're so wonderful! An ideal place to read.

Ooh, I love the 2nd one! The third one is fun, but I know I'd get annoyed with cushions sliding off that bench, and distracted by the chalkboard wall, and tempted by all the food in my kitchen...it is a fun and different take on an eating nook, though, I'll give them that!

The key piece, I think, for a reading nook is a good-sized window. Everything else is gravy, and could well be a distraction.

Beautiful. I love all of them. I've missed these posts. They always inspire me to imagine and look for my next great reading spot.

Yes, it's been a while since I've posted one of these. If I designed a house it would have a reading nook in EVERY room lol.

I like the 2nd one best. The first one is beautiful but it is too big for my taste, people might feel like they could plop down and visit. The 2nd one is nice and cozy. I agree that these are fun posts and I have missed them!

Haha yes the visitors! And they'd probably want to talk and discuss the upcoming week and what's for dinner and have you seen my keys and guess what happened at the meeting this morning and what about those new neighbours and and and . . .

gaaahh I'm trying to READ here.
