Saturday Snapshot - Owl

An owl showed up this week on our bird feeder . . . .

. . . wondering where all the finches and chickadees went.

Wow, what cool pictures! I guess he thought his "dinner" would just fly in to him! Haha! I very rarely see owls here, although I know they're around.

Owls are so impressive...I would be amazed if they came into my yard. Not likely here, though.

Here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST

I wish this would happen to us. We had a hawk land on the fence and the little birds skittered away too. Here's Mine

What a sight! I'm sure the chickadees took off for safer perches.

Wow! So neat! We rarely see owls, but we sure do hear them in the woods that surround the grey cottage! So cool that you got photos! That tells you how hungry the guy is ...

Oh, that is just gorgeous! I want to hug that owl. Probably would not be advisable, or possible even... but I still want to.

Love it!! I used to collect anything Owl! We had a small owl in our trees when we moved here in '98. Now it's a huge owl.

What fun, for you and the owl (but maybe not so much for the finches and chickadees). Glad you had your camera handy!

What great pictures! And what a random happening. I always hear owls but they very rarely make such a noticeable appearance!

He's beautiful and looks quite warm under all those ruffled feathers.

Oh my gosh! That's a real owl. I've never seen one so close. He is beautiful. Thank you for sharing these photos.

What a fantastic photo. Is that unusual for where you live? I saw a wren in my back garden yesterday, but was not quick enough with my camera.

Oh Nice! Lovely photos. I've never seen a real owl in the wild. I was photographing something that looked like an owl high up on a tree and later found that it was a squirrel.

That is a fantastic shot! He's needs to be a little less obvious if he wants to get a meal. I have never seen an owl at my feeders much less during the daytime.

That is so strange, but wonderful! It's got to be a rarity for one to sit out in the open like that in the day time. Such a pretty owl!
