Saturday Snapshot - Paris

May, 2011. On my wanderings around the city I couldn't help but notice all these lovely little courtyards. They were surrounded on three sides by walls of apartments with a gate on one end facing the street. I could just imagine walking through here at the end of every day with a baguette, a wedge of cheese and a bottle of wine in a little rucksack on my back.

That looks like a nice, peaceful, shady spot to rest!

That is fabulous - I'm always intrigued by all the hidden courtyards and gardens in Paris. Some are open to the public, but lots are private, and you catch glimpses of them through those huge doorways in the buildings. My Snapshot is here http://goo.gl/ou72V

Oh, that is exactly what I want to do when I see this....in fact, I'm imagining myself there right now!

Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog. Enjoy your weekend!

Shady, tranquil and slightly mysterious - I like it.

Must be nice to live in one of those apartments. I can imagine having wine and cheese there too.

Oh, you got me with the Paris photo. A courtyard stands for a whole different kind of life, doesn't it. Here's Mine

It's amazing to me, but I think there's something of a Paris effect when it comes to my opinion of photos. All you have to say is "Paris" and I'm enchanted. :) That being said, it is a lovely photo and that courtyard looks very inviting.

I love this photo... like a movie still. I was in Paris a few years ago, would love to go back, anytime. ;) Are you in the Paris in July blogging event hosted by Bookbath?

So beautiful! I'm not much for traveling and I never thought I would have much interest in Paris but this lovely courtyard looks so inviting! Those are the places that would really appeal to me. Hope you had a wonderful time!
