Book Love

Shadow of the Wind was good but this book is fantastic. I'm half way through and loving every word.

One of the peculiarities of Barcelo's bookshop was that books were spoken of as if they were exquisite wines, catalogued by bouquet, aroma, consistency, and vintage. pg238

Just read an old Globe review of this book – “…a celebration of books and their power; the joy, and the perils, of reading and writing. “Every book, every volume, has a soul,” Zafón writes. “The soul of the person who wrote it and the soul of those who read it and lived and dreamed with it.”
This, plus your recommendation – how can I not read it?!

ooh, I'll have to go look that review up! I only just discovered this book now but I keep forgetting it's been out for a few years already.

It'd also be interesting to see what else he's written and if they're as good.

Wha?! He's written more books! I haven't even read the first one and this one's going on my TBR!

I know, right?! I'm on a mission to find all the other books he's written.

I love the idea of "books catalogued by bouquet, aroma, consistency, and vintage," must be the cataloger in me. This book is definitely going on my TBR list. By the way, Thank you for following my blog!
