Saturday Snapshot - Lake Ontario

I took this picture last weekend with my cell phone so the quality isn't very good. I was hoping to capture the amazing contrast between the dark clouds on the horizon and the almost fluorescent turquoise light coming from the water. It's not nearly as sharp as I would have liked, but you get the idea.

It's a gorgeous shot and rather good for a cell phone. Such a pretty view.

Beautiful! And I love the tree branches against the sky like etchings. It looks like a painting....

Thanks for sharing.

It's very beautiful there. I've always wanted to visit that area but so far have only made it to Lake Erie (on the US side). One day...

I can see the clouds rolling in and the gnarly tree gives it a mysterious look. I half expect to see a serpent rising out of the water... just kidding!

Oh, I love it! Has almost an eerie quality to it and the tree branches are fantastic contrast.

Trish, I love this photo! I can totally imagine a woman in a long white dress, her feet bare, standing there looking out to sea. It's a ghost story of some sort....hmm, I'm going to have to think this out.

I think it's a great shot, the tree itself stands out as well as the ocean and the water. Very cool picture Book Savvy Babe

The softness of the lines is actually quite nice. I think you captured a great moment.

It's still so beautiful though! I hate when you can't quite capture things as you've seen them- I guess I need a better camera!

This is a beautiful picture, very atmospheric with the tree branches and bluish light across the water. It has a mysterious quality about it.

Not bad for a cell phone. The whole things looks a bit spooky with those dark clouds. :-)

It might not have turned out the way you intended but it is a beautiful photo! You have a good eye and did a great job. :)

I think that is a great photo especially taken with a phone!

I love the silhouette--so dramatic against the blue!
