Of course anyone who truly loves books buys more of them than he or she can hope to read in one fleeting lifetime. A good book, resting unopened in its slot on a shelf, full of majestic potentiality, is the most comforting sort of intellectual wallpaper.

Hop you are not too freezing!

Am making my way through my first Bryson BTW

...he felt a little too blustery and know it all-ish at first, but...well he is growing on me... :-)

No, there's not much freezing winter going on here. It feels more like we've just had nothing but March since November. Anywhoo - yeah Bryson. He does get a bit much sometimes. My favorite is still his memoir Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid. Great to hear from you! Hugs all around :)

Oh, what a fabulous quote. I think I might have to print this one out and show it to my husband whenever he questions *yet another* book purchase...
