Just so I don't forget what summer looks like.
This is a walking trail near my house on a July day a couple of years ago. Doesn't it just make you want to see what's around the bend up ahead? That's what I love about walking in natural areas like this - it's always quiet, inviting, and a little bit mysterious.

For a minute there, I thought you must be one of the lucky ones in the southern hemisphere having summer. It's quite a contrast to the picture I posted this week from my husband's recent hike. Here's Mine
It looks such an inviting place to have a walk.
Gorgeous shot! It is certainly an inviting little pathway.
You're right. It does look a bit mysterious. Lovely green and certainly more so in our time of browns. LOL
Oh, I felt so emotional when I saw this one...I guess I'm missing summer, even though I always complain about the heat.
Growing up, I lived on a farm and could meander through orchards and around bends, along ditches, etc.
Such freedom!
Thanks for sharing....
Here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT and here’s
MY WEBSITE
That's a perfect day to me. Walking the trails in the sunshine, listening to the sounds of nature, maybe a little breeze. Only 65 more days until spring!
I am so ready for spring (and summer) to get here! That really is a lovely summer photo!
Wonderful walking trail. Your photo is making long for the spring and summertime walks sans coat, hat, scarf, gloves ...
Reminds me also of Lover's Lane in PEI and L. M. Montgomery's (and my) enjoyment over walking in such a place. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful shot. I love walking trails like this and can't wait for summer to come back!
Oh this is beautiful! This photo shouts summer
What a gorgeous scene -- it reminds me of something from Thomas Hardy's Wessex county!
One gets the feeling that walking along such a verdant path, it would not be long before one encountered some lovely damsel in need of some sort of....... emergency damseling or whatnot.
Emergency damseling? But of course. lol
We can dream for warmer days. I can smell fresh cut grass:)
It's good to have something to look forward to. Great photo.
It looks like a lovely place to walk. It really does make me want to see what's up ahead.
Very good reason to go otdoors and smeel the trees. The trail looks soft on your feet.
I'd love to take a walk there! Today I walked in snow that covered my shoes.
What a beautiful photo! Love all the lacy shadows on the path.
Thanks for visiting Joysweb, and have a wonderful week!
I am looking forward to when everything looks like that again... I don't mind winter as long as there is a bit of snow to make things pretty, but when we have winters like this and everything is brown it's no fun!
hope it ends at an orchard, with a strawberry field beyond ;)
