Fabulous! I love the dark trees etched against the sky...like a painting. The snowy beach looks soft and welcoming, almost like a wonderful soft spot to land...or so it seems!
I love the starkness of the tree against the snow and the sky. My kids would have loved to tromp through that playground when they were little. Here's Mine
I should probably jump in here and mention that this picture was from 2008. We have no snow on the ground at all this year! It's brown and dry and not very pretty.
That is so cool! I don't know if I'd want to live around that much snow, but I'd love to visit places with snow more often. I've only played in deep snow a few times in my life.
Oh, I just saw your comment there... I was thinking Hey, I'm in Ontario too and we don't have that much snow in Ottawa! What a gorgeous photo. Such a well-traveled area, it's probably a park -- AND NO FOOTPRINTS. This is a great shot.

Wow! I love everything about this photo.....it speaks to me!
Such a dramatic scene - there's a story in there!
Oh my goodness! I love this shot. The colors in the sky are amazing.
That's lovely. It looks dreadfully cold though.

Great photo, Trish. It looks freezing but absolutely beautiful.

That's a lovely photo -- the shading the bare tree, the tracks in the snow. Quiet and beautiful.
So very beautiful, stark and lonely! I love it!
So serene and peaceful looking. And so pretty when it's freshly fallen and not trampled on and dirty.
I was wondering where all the snow went this year! We haven't seen much of it in Chicago.
It's lovely to look at but I'm glad I'm not there.

Talk about starkly beautiful! This makes me think of cold that penetrates even the bones...

BRRRRRRR! That looks freezing!!
Very dramatic photo & stunning, too!
Obviously everyone stayed home that afternoon! A beautiful winter picture.
So beautiful. Lovely how peaceful it looks.
I am intrigued by the footprints! Beautiful!
Very nice! I love the starkness of the shot and the wintery sky.
If this was a book cover, I would want to read the story!
The starkness of the tree is beautiful.
:)
Lovely photo,
I would not think to take a photo late afternoon as the light is fading. It works well
