Random roadside mountain stream

After passing a number of these streams I finally had to get out of the car and take some pictures. It had the most beautiful, cold, crystal clear water I've ever seen.

Winter hasn't even truly begun yet, and this picture has me yearning for summer!
This is just stunning. I love the beautiful landscape in these parts of the world, and hope to visit someday. The closest I got was Portland, Oregon for business :)
It would be difficult to keep driving if I had to look at this kind of backdrop! Lovely!
Good idea to stop! I imagine some of these streams, if not all, have their source in the mountain itself, from snowmelt and runoff.

Every time I go to Vancouver Island I stick around in Victoria. Guess I should head out off the beaten path to see this loveliness.

Vancouver Island is very beautiful, although sadly I haven't been there since the 80s.
Serene and comforting view- I would like to sit on the bank of the stream, dangle my feet on the water with my eyes on the mountain and dream.
So absolutely gorgeous! I've always wanted to travel to Vancouver Island--one day.
