Saturday Snapshot - In Flight

Taking off from Toronto en route to Vancouver. This was an early morning flight in March 2008, probably 7 or 8 in the morning.  The sun is still rising over Lake Ontario and you can just make out the CN Tower to the left of the wing tip. I used to be terrified of hate flying, but now -ehn- I kind of enjoy it.

Nice shot. I'm too busy worrying about the plane getting above 10k feet to think of snapping photos. You're braver than I!

That is a beautiful shot and view of the city. I use to like to fly, but with all the new regs, I avoid it now.

I fly more now than I did when the kids were small. Like you, I'm usually thinking about the plane getting off the ground, haha. Lovely photo.

I guess that wasn't you but Jennifer in the first comment worrying about the plane getting above 10k. :)

I tend to be hanging on too tightly to do anything else during takeoff (or landing). Nice shot, though!

What a great shot, I never think to take photos out of the plane window. I am so impressed that there isn't a reflection of you taking the photo!

Nice view of the city. When I look out at all those roads and buildings I'm always awed at how tiny we are in comparison.

Lovely photograph.

I'm like you not too keen on the flying bit but love the excitement of it all!

Happy weekend.

I hate the hassle of airports and getting through security or baggage claim. But I love sitting in them & people watching...and I love being on the plane. It can be so peaceful winning your way from one place to another on your way to a grand adventure. I really wish I could do it more often.

I always wonder if I'll get in trouble for taking a photo when taking off or landing (because my camera is an electronic device). :)

I don't mind flying too much, but really don't like being crammed in with so many people.

I'm not all that fond of heights and have never flown on a plane. It's a great shot, I especially like how small the CN Tower looks.

Very nice shot! I have one a lot like it from one of my trips to NYC. I love the wing in the photo.

Thanks for stopping by!

Love this shot since I've never flown on a plane. Have traveled by helicopter though, and LOVED it!

Flying doesn't bother me, especially if I'm going someplace fun. It looks like the sky was nice and clear that morning.

Gorgeous shot! I travel frequently for my job so I'm usually on a plane but it's not often I get to see a beautiful view like this one!
