Saturday Snapshot - Paris

Place St. Michel in Paris is a huge monument on the side of building at a busy intersection just before you get to the Seine river. It's beautiful stone and marble pillars with water cascading down around the lower half. It was hard to decide how to take the picture; I wanted to get details, but I also wanted to get a scope of it's size and how it blends in with the rest of the neighborhood. Up close it's breathtakingly beautiful and huge.

It was so long ago that I went to Paris. Loved the photo.

I have a great photo of this same fountain, but close up. I made my husband stand strategically in front of a fountain of water streaming from a creature's mouth so it looks like the water is landing on his head! Great distance shot. You really catch the depth of it here.

I love Paris! (it's years since I've been, considering it's so close)

The video is a good idea (my digital camera is so ancient I'm stuck with still photos).

I love that you included the video so that we could see the fountain in action and the rest of the neighborhood too.

Wonderful photo! I've never been to Europe, but all the photos that get posted of England and, now, France is making me even more itchy to go....
