Saturday Snapshot

From our trip out West in 2009 - This is a view of downtown Vancouver from Jericho Park (if I'm remembering correctly) with Stanley Park being that strip of green on the far shore. What strikes me about this picture is how tiny the city looks in relation to the surrounding mountains and ocean.

Oh, I really MUST capture some more beautiful scenery...even though there's not much to photograph in the city where I live, we are surrounded by mountains (40 min. away), and beautiful "blossom trails" nearby.

You're right, for such a big city it does look kind of small and "put in it's place" in God's glorious nature!

The mountain does put everything in perspective.

My favorite parts are the cloud that seems to hover over the city, and the contrasting white of the clouds with the shore where you took the photo.

Truly one of the most beautiful cities in the world. What a fantastic shot!

This is lovely. I'm noticing a water theme in many snapshots today!

I love the clouds. They were the first things I noticed. Very nice photo.

Beautiful scenery and mountains. Living in the midwest I'm accustomed to flatness.

Here in Ontario it's also pretty flat so whenever I see mountains and ocean I just gape at the spectacle of it all.

Yes, the clouds, too! They're amazing aren't they? They remind me of quilt batting.
