Saturday Snapshot

Lake Ontario, looking south towards Rochester New York, Jan. 2008

Living a few blocks from Lake Ontario gives me the opportunity to see the open water every day; it's always different and always breathtaking. I don't bring my camera with me nearly as often as I should.

What a lovely shot - I can see that the sun's trying to peek through.

I just came across your blog and LOVE the title of it and the overall look. Great photo as well.

That looks gorgeous! I've never seen the great lakes before in person, and you're making me regret that.

I love visiting blogs and the fabulous photos of the bloggers. Yours captures what looks like a calm-before-the-storm moment.

Thanks for sharing.

There's something about being near the water that's so captivating. I love these shots.

I work in downtown Chicago, so I'm a few blocks from Lake Michigan but I never think to go take photos of it.
