Don't Get Too Comfortable by David Rakoff

by David Rakoff.

The Indignities of Coach Class, the Torment of Low Thread Count, the Never-Ending Quest for Artisanal Olive Oil, and Other First World Problems.

What is it about authors like this that I love so much? I'm not sure but it could have something to do with their ability to poke fun at their own absurdities and inconsistencies and those of everyone else. Because really, if you are so serious that you can't laugh at yourself then you must be either too self-important, or dead.

Sounds like a great read. I love seeing the world via the perspective of others – especially those with a sense of humour.
And I’d be lost without my own!
