These trunks are pretty cool. They are permanently attached to a stone wall and are locked up at night. There are hundreds of them selling everything from kitschy souvenirs to prints to fabrics to books.
I love browsing along these vendors. Imagine if that were your job, to stand by the Seine and sell old books and paintings. That would be fabulous. Here's Mine

A place I could spend hours :-)
Love it! I could see myself getting lost in another world there.

How clever - to use trunks and then be able to lock them up. I suspect I could shop for a really long time! LOL
Oh, I like these! Very cool...and now I'd love to see them in person!
Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

I am kicking myself for not checking out the books when I was there a few years ago. I was too busy looking for tacky souveneirs. :P
Kay - oh yeah, Paris is a browser's paradise!
Laurel - I hope you get a chance to go there one day :)
Paulita - It would be fantastic, wouldn't it?
toni - Hey, the souvenirs are a lot of fun, too ;)
